The Training Institute in Sexual Health Education (TISHE) is a weeklong residential, skills-based training institute led by a team of expert sexuality educators. Topics covered include teaching abstinence with a sex-positive approach; birth control and pregnancy prevention; gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) issues; enhancing self-esteem; sexually transmitted diseases including HIV/AIDS; sexual anatomy; media literacy; sexual values and much, much more! Who Should Attend?

Middle and high school teachers relatively new to, or with limited knowledge of, the topic of sexuality education. School nurses, counselors, social workers, curriculum specialists or administrators who supervise, support or implement sexuality education in any format.

Where Is TISHE Held?

TISHE is held at the Trinity Conference Center, which is located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains on a bend in the Housatonic River, in West Cornwall, CT. The  Trinity Conference Center's focus is to provide nonprofit groups with a safe and productive place to meet.
